Delete an organization

Only the Owner can delete an organization. The deletion takes effect for members at once, but the data is kept for 30 days so it can be cancelled. Your spreadsheets in Google Drive are never deleted.

Delete

1. Open the organization's Settings page.
2. Under Delete organization, select Delete organization.
3. Type the organization's name to confirm, then select Delete organization.
4. Confirm it's you with a passkey you have had for at least 24 hours.

What happens next

• Every member loses access now and is emailed.
• Pending invitations are revoked, and a pending ownership transfer is cancelled.
• After 30 days, the organization and its data in LightInventory are deleted for good. A record of security events is kept for one year.

Cancel the deletion

During the 30 days, the Owner or an Admin can open the organization and select Cancel deletion. The organization then works as before. Invitations that were revoked stay revoked, so send new ones if you need them.
