Reset your LightInventory password
Request a reset link, choose a new password and sign in again. A reset never replaces your second factor, and your other sessions are signed out.

You can reset a forgotten password with a link we email you. The link changes only your password: you still need your second factor to sign in, and every other session on your account is signed out.
Reset your password
- On the sign-in page, select Forgot your password?.
- Enter the email you use for LightInventory and select Send reset link.
- Open the email and select Choose a new password.
- Enter a new password of 12 to 128 characters and select Save new password.
- Sign in with your new password, then confirm it's you with a passkey, your authenticator app or a recovery code.
The reset link works once and for a limited time. The email says how long. If it has expired, request a new one from the sign-in page.
What changes after a reset
- Your password is changed, and your other sessions are signed out.
- We send an email to tell you the password was changed.
- Your passkeys, authenticator app and recovery codes stay the same.
An email link can reset a password, but it never replaces the second factor.
If no email arrives
For privacy, the reset screen looks the same whether or not the address has an account with a password. If nothing arrives after a few minutes:
- Check your spam folder.
- Check that you typed the address you sign in with.
- If you created your account with Google, it may have no password to reset. Use Continue with Google instead.
