# Organization settings and idle limit

> Change your organization's name, language and time zone, and set an idle limit of 5 to 60 minutes after which members confirm it's them again.

Owners and Admins can change the organization's general settings. Only the Owner can change the idle limit. Every change is recorded.

## Change the name, language or time zone

1. Open the organization's **Settings** page.
2. Under **General**, change the **Organization name**, the **Language** or the **Time zone**.
3. Select **Save changes**.

The language is used for emails to people you invite who don't have an account yet. The time zone is used for dates in the organization's reports and history.

## Set the idle limit

The idle limit is how long a member can be inactive before they confirm it's them again to open this organization. It can be from 5 to 60 minutes, and it is 60 by default.

1. On the **Settings** page, under **Security**, enter a number of minutes in **Idle limit (minutes)**.
2. Select **Save idle limit** and confirm it's you with a passkey.

Every Owner and Admin is emailed about the change. A shorter limit suits shared devices, such as a tablet in a warehouse.

## What members see after the idle limit

The member stays signed in, but the organization shows **Confirm it's you to continue**. One confirmation with a passkey or authenticator app opens it again. Other organizations with longer limits keep working. LightInventory's own 60-minute sign-out after inactivity still applies everywhere.
