# Leave an organization

> Leave a LightInventory organization you no longer work with. You lose access at once, and to come back you need a new invitation.

Any member except the Owner can leave an organization. You lose access right away, and your pending invitations to it are revoked. Your account and your other organizations are not affected.

## Leave

1. Open the organization's **Members** page.
2. Under **Leave this organization**, select **Leave organization**.
3. Confirm.

To come back, you need a new invitation from an Owner or Admin.

## If you are the Owner

The Owner can't leave, because every organization has exactly one Owner. [Transfer ownership](/help/organizations/transfer-ownership) to an Admin first, or [delete the organization](/help/organizations/delete-an-organization).
