A session is one signed-in browser or device. The **Sessions** page lists all of yours, and you can sign out any of them. Sessions also end on their own after 60 minutes of inactivity or 24 hours at most.

> **Note:** LightInventory is in development and not yet generally available. This page describes sign-in as designed. Step-by-step screenshots are added as each screen ships.

## See your sessions

Open the **Account** menu and select **Sessions**. For each session you see the device, its IP address, an approximate location and when it was last seen. The session you are using is marked **This device**.

## Sign out a session

- To sign out one device, select **Sign out** next to it and confirm.
- To sign out every device except the one you are using, select **Sign out all other sessions**.

The device is signed out right away. If you do not recognize a session, sign it out, then review your sign-in methods and, if you use a password, [change it](/help/account-and-sign-in/reset-password).

## When a session ends on its own

| Session setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Sign-out after inactivity | 60 minutes |
| Maximum session length | 24 hours |
| Fresh second factor for sensitive actions | Within the last 5 minutes |

Before an idle session ends, you see a warning with **Stay signed in**. When you sign out in one tab, every other open tab of LightInventory in that browser is signed out too.

Your sessions are also signed out when:

- you reset or change your password (all other sessions);
- you sign in with a recovery code (all other sessions);
- you select **This wasn't me** in a new-device email (every session).

## Sensitive actions

Some actions ask you to confirm it's you again, even in an active session, unless you did so within the last 5 minutes. Changes to your sign-in methods are one of them. More actions, such as role and billing changes, are added as those features ship.
